OUR BEGINNING
Preserving Our Christian and Sportsman’s Heritage
The Christian Sportsman’s Association (CSA) was officially formed by Tim and Rachelle Sallee in January 2026. However, the vision for this ministry began many years earlier.
Tim, a minister for over 45 years and an avid waterfowler, first shared the idea of combining a passion for Christ with a passion for waterfowling during a duck hunting trip with his brother Anthony Sallee in 2002. Anthony even designed a sample logo or two, but the concept remained on hold.
The idea resurfaced after Tim and Rachelle hosted a Wild Game Dinner in September 2009 at the church they had founded and pastored for 15 years. Witnessing firsthand the powerful impact of bringing sportsmen together for fellowship—and introducing many to Christ—confirmed the calling. After much prayer, they launched the Christian Waterfowlers Association (CWA) with its website and forum.
Since 2009, the CWA has grown remarkably: hosting annual national meetings and festivals in Siloam Springs and Springdale, Arkansas. Thousands of attendees from 19 states and Canada have participated over the years. Hundreds of lives have been touched by the Gospel of Christ while being introduced to the rich tradition of waterfowling.
Through ongoing prayer and discernment, Tim and Rachelle felt led to expand the ministry beyond the niche of waterfowling. This led to the recent launch of the Christian Sportsman’s Association—building on the strong foundation of the CWA to reach more sportsmen and women across hunting, fishing, and outdoor pursuits.
After 15 years of faithfully pastoring and planting the church where so many memories and salvations occurred, Rachelle and I sensed God’s clear leading to step away from that local pastorate. In obedience, we resigned to devote ourselves full-time to this broader calling through the Christian Waterfowlers Association and now the Christian Sportsman’s Association.
Today we remain pastors of our Sportsman’s Chapel and consider ourselves missionaries and shepherds to the outdoor community we love. We still travel year-round to wild game dinners, outdoor expos, sportsman’s banquets, festivals, and fellowships — building relationships, sharing the Gospel in the language of the woods and water, and pointing men and women to Christ in the places where their hearts are already open.
These ministries are not structured like Ducks Unlimited or similar organizations where people “join as members.” Instead, we simply invite fellow believers who love Jesus and the outdoors to identify with us, pray for us, walk alongside us, and — as the Lord leads — partner with us to help sustain the work.
The opportunities God is opening are many, and the harvest among sportsmen and women is ready. We cannot fulfill this assignment without the prayer, friendship, and partnership of others who share our passion for Christ and creation.
Would you prayerfully consider standing with us? Your monthly or one-time gifts make it possible for us to keep traveling, serving events, and reaching lives for eternity — one conversation in a duck blind, deer stand, or campfire at a time.
To extend this impact digitally, we also produce weekly devotions on our YouTube channel and publish two magazines: The Christian Waterfowler andThe Christian Sportsman.
Thank you for even considering being part of what God is doing through the Christian Sportsman’s Association.
In Christ, Tim & Rachelle Sallee

PURPOSE
The Christian Sportsman’s Association was formed to unite people’s passion for the great outdoors with their passion for Christ.
We give deeper meaning to our God-given adventurous spirit, channeling it beyond individual hunting, fishing, and outdoor traditions. Our mission is to work within the broader sportsman’s community to preserve and celebrate our Christian heritage by sharing the Gospel of Christ, and through ethical pursuits and faithful stewardship of God’s creation.
VISION
To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of Christian sportsmen and women.

D – Discipleship, use of the lessons taken from the outdoors to promote growth in Christ.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe the Bible is inspired and empowered by God, infallible and authoritative.
2. We believe in one eternal God who exists as three separate persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man’s salvation.
4. We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
6. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment.
7. We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.
8. We believe all born-again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world.
